Less experienced growers under artificial lighting usually decide on the purchase of a discharge lamp based on the luminous flux (lm), or on the color temperature (K), or on the service life or price. However, the most important parameter for successful plant cultivation is the PAR value. PAR is photosynthetically active radiation, which shows the amount of light that can actually be used for photosynthesis per second.

How to use 600W discharge lamps correctly?

600W lamps emit heat in addition to light, so make sure you keep the correct distance from the tops of the plants so they don't get burned. Never touch the glass of the lamps with a wet hand, use gloves or a cloth. Moisture on the glass can cause damage after the lamp is turned on. Never look directly into the light of the lamp, you can damage your eyesight. The lamp is very fragile, always handle it with great care. Do not use damaged lamps.
