New CMH technology. 315W CMH lamps Philips and SunPro. Designed for special 315W Complete Fixture lamps. Combined spectrum for flowering and growth.
An improvement on the classic metal halide technology has resulted in the innovative LEC (light emitting ceramic) lighting, also known as CMH (ceramic metalhalide). The CMH 315W lamps have an inner tube made of ceramic material, which allows for higher pressures and temperatures. This is why this type of lighting is so attractive for plants.
Compared to conventional metal halide (MH) types, CMH lamps have a higher PAR/Watt ratio, and therefore a higher photosynthesis production per unit of energy. The advantage is lower consumption and calorific value. The risk of burning plants is reduced. According to tests, the light spectrum of CMH lamps is close to the quality of sunlight. The disadvantage of CMH technology may be the higher purchase price and the need for a special CMH ballast, socket and shade. The advantage is the regulation of light output and dimmability.
The 315W CMH lamps are intended for use only in Complete Fixture sets, as they cannot be lit using conventional electromagnetic or digital ballasts. The complete set includes a ballast with a built-in shade and a socket for the CMH lamp. The lighting output is adjustable.
Use only compatible CMH 315W ballasts, sockets and other accessories. Always allow the lamp to warm up for a few minutes. After it has gone out, let it rest for a few minutes before lighting it again.
The 315W lamp emits less light and heat, but still check the correct distance from the tops of the plants to avoid burning them. Never touch the glass of the lamp with a wet hand, use gloves or a cloth. Moisture on the glass can cause damage after the lamp is started. Never look directly into the light of the lamp, you can damage your eyes. The lamp is very fragile, always handle it with great care. Do not use damaged lamps.
Do not touch the glass of the lamp during operation or immediately after switching off. Do not throw used lamps in the general waste, but use special containers.
